We Gather to Worship
Welcome and Announcements Introit
Day by day; Martin How
“Day by day, dear Lord, of thee three things I pray To see thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, follow thee more nearly, day by day.”
Call to Worship
Assembled to worship, we come to be refreshed and made new.
We come from lonely walks, busy schedules and isolated lives;
We gather for bonding, community and common ground.
We seek You because we have been found,
We seek each other because we have been loved.
Teach us once again to find the loneliness in each other.
Call us again to welcome the uninvited, to invite the forgotten and to embrace the unforgiven and neglected,
That we may walk in grace, practice hospitality, live in love and follow your way of hope!

Unison Prayer of Confession
We confess that we find Your medicine hard to swallow, Forgiving God. The quick fixes of this world are so much more pleasant, leaving us free to go back to our usual routines. But Your healing grace is powerful. And if we receive it, it will change our lives and will reorient us to Your forgiving nature. Turn us toward Your love for justice. Forgive our sins, for which You weep. Forgive our hesitation. Grant us courage to choose You as our physician, and to serve You and You alone. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Christ be with you all.
Scripture says: “There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and humanity, even Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all.” In Christ Jesus we have a mediator who reassures us: “My sister, my brother, your sins are forgiven you. Go in peace.” The peace of the Lord Jesus
And also with you.
