Come and enjoy 30 minutes of vocal and keyboard music.

Admission by donation with proceeds going to the St. Andrew’s music ministry

Featuring Serena Jack (violin) and Michelle Hoskin (piano).

Music will include a set that starts with a classical piece call Havanaise by Saint-Saëns followed by a high energy piece called Hopak, finishing with Millionaires Hoedown.

The last piece has a combination of classical pieces with Serena’s own fiddly twist.

Jorge Eduardo will perform Scenes de entrants by Frederic Mompou, Elodia by Luis Jordá, Malgre Tout by Manuel M Ponce, and Tríptico del Ángel by Astor Piazzolla.

Biographical note

Jorge Eduardo Flores Carrizales was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He began his piano studies with Sergio Peña at the age of seventeen, and offered his first public recital within seven months. From 2010 to 2016 he pursued a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Guanajuato, studying with Elena Podzharova. He gave several recitals in Mexico and the United States, and graduated with honours. Jorge Eduardo has just completed his first year of a Master’s program in piano performance at the University of Victoria, where he studies under Arthur Rowe.

The Dunàmis String Trio (Serena Jack – violin, Judith Gaston – viola, Liam Epp – cello) is a local group of young professionally trained musicians, offering top-level performances

They perform classical, folk and jazz music, with arrangements ranging from Mozart to Duke Ellington.
