The congregation was founded in 1862 and the current Church building was completed in 1890. In 1979, the Church received Heritage Designation from the City of Victoria. Our dedicated team, comprised of skilled volunteers and professionals, takes great pride in maintaining and improving our church's facilities to ensure they are welcoming, safe, and functional for all our activities and services. Our responsibilities range from overseeing routine maintenance to planning and executing larger renovation projects, all while ensuring environmental sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
We collaborate closely with other committees to support various events and functions, providing a reliable and beautiful setting that enriches our community's spiritual experience.
St. Andrew’s has a good working relationship with a handful of long-term, external clients: Ballet Victoria, Alcoholics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, ICA Cooking Classes, the Early Music Society, Beacon Ridge Productions, The Pandora Chorus, The RCCO, VIEC, and UVic School of Music. Ensemble Laude Women’s Choir and the Vox Humana Choir have begun to book events with us this year.
